The BioPlusTM range of bio-augmentation products are boosted, live microorganism cultures specially formulated for the environment it needs to treat.  For example effluent streams containing fats, oils and greases (as opposed to mixed domestic or industrial waste streams), will require different microbial strains for optima results. 

 

If needed, these technologies can be combined to solve site-specific challenges to deliver more value to customer operations. This can also include pipelines, storage/maturation ponds and stack/area emissions in many industries, including:

Environmental and Health Benefits

BioPlusTM bio-augmentation treatment programs can dramatically affect an existing plant from an environmental health and safety (EHS) performance and even maintenance aspect. For example, at a central African mine expanding operations led to the existing wastewater treatment plant becoming under-sized for the volume of effluent that needed treatment. This gave rise to objectionable odours that impeded maintenance work and the odour problem subsequently also migrated downstream to the maturation ponds.

ImproChem consultants implemented a complete treatment program that also incorporated a BioPlusTM product. This improved plant operation significantly, also eliminating the odour problem at the downstream maturation ponds. The customer awarded a future plant expansion utilising MBR technology to ImproChem as a permanent solution.

 

Operating Benefits

ProSweetTM  odour control treatment programs can potentially save a Customer significant capital outlay and production losses - as in the case of an African fish-processing plant.

The Customer was facing a plant emission upgrade involving several hundreds of thousands of US Dollars, or risk closure. 

ImproChem proposed a three-phased application of  ProSweetTM products that incurred a capital outlay at a fraction of the originally proposed cost - and still enabled the operation to continue without a shutdown.
